Construction carbon footprint quantified: Smaller buildings emit less, reveals groundbreaking study.
The study aimed to figure out how much carbon is produced per cubic meter of building space during construction. They looked at five similar houses that only varied in size. Using special software, they calculated the carbon footprint during the building phase of each of these houses. It was found that the amount of carbon produced depends on the size of the building being constructed. This information allowed them to create a cost estimate for the carbon footprint per cubic meter of space in a building.
