Organic Farming Boosts Carrot Yields, Transforming Livelihoods in Uttarakhand's Low Hills
The study looked at how different types of organic manure affect the growth and yield of carrots in the hills of Uttarakhand. They tested nine treatments, including farmyard manure, vermicompost, and cow urine. The treatment with farmyard manure, vermicompost, and Azotobacter showed the best results, with taller plants, more leaves, longer and wider leaves, longer and thicker roots, and higher yields compared to other treatments.
