Ethiopian farming communities at high risk due to climate change
The study looked at how farmers in wet areas of Ethiopia are affected by climate change. Researchers surveyed 442 households in four districts to see how they perceive and are vulnerable to climate change. They found that households in Sekoru district are the most vulnerable, while those in Jimma Arjo are less vulnerable. The main reasons for vulnerability are drought, lack of infrastructure, and weak support from institutions. The study suggests that policymakers should create strategies to help communities adapt to climate change and manage disasters better.
