Contract parties can choose which country's courts will handle their disputes. In Iran, there are no clear rules on enforcing these choices. Parties can agree to use non-competent Iranian courts unless a foreign court has exclusive jurisdiction. They can also choose foreign courts over competent Iranian ones, unless the Iranian courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
