Governmental stakeholder engagement helps make industrial engineering projects more sustainable. A study looked at a mining project in Northern Europe and found that collaborating with government stakeholders early on helped solve problems and speed up the project without sacrificing quality. Four key practices reduced uncertainty and led to better project plans that balanced economic, social, and environmental factors. This shows that involving government stakeholders can be crucial for the success of industrial engineering projects.
