New Method Boosts Accuracy in Estimating Population Mean for Better Resource Allocation
Stratification helps improve accuracy in sampling when there are big differences in variance between different groups. A new method was developed to estimate population mean in stratified random sampling, using data on Apple production in Turkey. The new method was found to be more accurate and efficient than existing methods, especially when an auxiliary attribute is used. This means that the new method can give better estimates of the overall Apple production in Turkey based on samples taken from different regions.
