Regional trade agreements are deals between countries to promote trade. In 2010, the World Trade Organization got 26 new notifications about 18 of these agreements. Out of the 484 agreements reported to the WTO by the end of 2010, 293 were active. These agreements can be between two countries or regions and aim to boost free trade.
