Channel features impact river bedload transport and morphology during floods.
The study looked at how different types of river features affect the movement of sediment during small floods with added sediment. They tracked particles in the water and measured water depth and speed in 10 spots. They found that the type of river features affects how well sediment stays in place. They also found that the number of river features doesn't necessarily mean more variety in the river's shape. The results can help understand how rivers behave in similar conditions, but more research is needed for different situations.
