Climate change to drastically increase temperatures in Maharashtra, India by 2099.
Climate change can have negative impacts on water resources and ecosystems. To understand and predict these effects, researchers studied temperature changes in the Lower Godavari Sub-basin, Maharashtra State, India. They used a method called downscaling, which involves predicting local climate data from larger-scale information. By applying statistical downscaling models, they found that the predicted temperature values for the future up to 2099 showed higher changes in mean monthly daily temperatures using the SDSM model compared to the Excel Model.
