Methane emissions in Queensland, Australia are a significant contributor to global warming. Traditional methods for measuring these emissions are not always accurate for Australian conditions. To improve monitoring, researchers are using top-down approaches that analyze changes in atmospheric methane levels over time and space. By doing this, they can calculate emission rates more accurately. However, current methods still struggle to accurately estimate true emission rates from measured concentrations.
