Vegetation intensity in Tamil Nadu varies significantly over time, study finds.
Vegetation in different areas of Tamil Nadu was studied using satellite images to track changes over time. By analyzing NDVI and EVI values from 2011 to 2021, researchers found that vegetation intensity varied, with deciduous forests having the highest values. The study showed that NDVI values were generally higher than EVI values, indicating changes in biomass over time. This information helps us understand the health and condition of vegetation in Tamil Nadu's different agro climatic zones.
