Drip irrigation boosts tapioca yields by 48%, saving water and increasing efficiency!
The study tested drip irrigation and fertigation in tapioca farming. Drip irrigation every two days at full capacity gave the highest tuber yield. Drip irrigation at half capacity and surface irrigation had similar yields. Fertigating nitrogen didn't affect yield much. Drip irrigation saved almost half of the water compared to surface irrigation. Water use efficiency was 20-60% better with drip irrigation.
