The researchers studied the types and numbers of small creatures living in four lakes in the Altai region. They found 126 different species of these creatures in the lakes. Lakes Aya and Kireevo had fewer types and numbers of these creatures compared to lakes Koksha and Svetloye. The creatures in lakes Koksha and Svetloye were more diverse and abundant.
