Computer simulations were used to study how adding thermal insulation to the walls of a terraced family house affects heat and moisture transfer. Internal insulation is better for heating the room, while external insulation helps prevent condensation. Adding internal insulation increased room heating efficiency by 12%, and external insulation reduced humidity by 10%. Choosing the right insulation material and installation method is crucial for optimal performance and reducing moisture issues in residential buildings.
