The study looked at different factors affecting the yield of vegetable cowpea. They found that pod length, weight, seeds per pod, and 100 seed weight were positively related to higher yield. Early flowering negatively impacted yield. Pod number had a negative relationship with pod weight and length. The most important factors for improving yield were green pod weight, dry pod weight, pod number, seeds per pod, and days to flowering.
