PageRank centrality, a way to rank nodes in networks, is often used but can be confusing due to teleportation. A new method has been developed that adjusts teleportation based on the distance between nodes, using non-local random walks. This method was tested on real-world networks like air transportation, collaboration, and urban street networks, showing its flexibility and differences from traditional PageRank centrality.
