Revolutionizing Energy: Wind Data Unlocks Potential for Sustainable Power Generation
The study analyzed wind data in North-West Hungary to assess wind energy potential. They looked at wind speed, direction, and energy production from wind turbines over 6 years. The researchers used a simple method to model wind speeds and estimate energy production. They found that the wind energy forecasts were often underestimated by the model. The study will be applied in a semi-arid region in Morocco in the future.
