In the experiment, scientists studied how sugarcane extract could help freeze and store Banaba chicken semen. They looked at using glycerol and DMSO as protective agents in different amounts and freezing temperatures. Twelve Banaba roosters gave samples, and only good quality semen was frozen. The results showed that the glycerol or DMSO amount and thawing temperature didn't affect sperm quality much, but the kind of protective agent made a big difference. Sperm frozen with glycerol was better than with DMSO in terms of quality.
