The researchers tested different natural substances to see how well they could clean up cloudy water. They found that using alum along with mallow, Arabic gum, and okra was effective in removing dirt from the water. The best results were seen with higher doses of these natural substances for more turbid water. The natural coagulants also helped reduce the amount of aluminum needed and made the dirt settle faster. This study shows that natural coagulants can be a good alternative for cleaning up dirty water.
