The article examines different theories of European integration and looks for new ways to understand it. Traditional theories focus on balancing interests and achieving equilibrium, but they fail to consider the political aspects of European integration. New theories highlight the challenges and dilemmas faced by modern European integration but have not yet proposed alternative perspectives beyond interests and balance. The article critiques these theories and explores the potential for a post-liberal paradigm that goes beyond the traditional views of integration.
