Paper Summary

Head-mounted displays (HMDs) were compared to screen-based simulators for driving simulation. The study found that HMDs are just as good as screens in terms of simulator sickness, presence, and perception. There was no clear advantage or disadvantage to using HMDs, except for a slight issue with braking tasks. Overall, current HMDs are not worse than screens for driving simulation.
