A new solar desalination system has been designed to turn salt water into fresh water more efficiently. Unlike traditional systems, this one makes the water flow through channels during the process. This improvement has increased the fresh water production rate to 8.16 liters per square meter per day, compared to the previous 4-6 liters per square meter per day. The water quality before and after desalination meets acceptable standards.
