The study looked at how different types of mulch affect the growth and production of chili plants. They tested six treatments, including using reed mulch, rice straw mulch, and various types of plastic mulch. The results showed that using silver black plastic mulch had the best impact on chili plant growth and production. It led to taller plants, more branches, heavier fruits, and higher overall production per hectare. In particular, using silver black plastic mulch resulted in the highest yield of red chilies per hectare at 8.02 tons, while clear plastic mulch had the lowest yield at 3.01 tons.
