High interest rates hinder MSMEs' access to financial institutions in Aceh.
The study looked at how small businesses in West Aceh interact with banks when it comes to repaying loans. They found that difficulties in repaying loans, high interest rates, needing collateral, and not having enough money of their own all make it harder for these businesses to get financial help. The interest rate has the biggest impact on whether small businesses can get loans, followed by needing collateral and not having enough money. To help small businesses get loans more easily, the government should provide loans with lower interest rates, make it easier to provide collateral, and support Islamic financial institutions. This is important because when small businesses do well, they create more jobs and help the economy grow.
