Germinated Brown Rice Packs More Nutrients Than White and Brown!
The researchers compared the nutritional profiles of different types of Yoom Noon rice from Southern Thailand. They found that brown rice had more protein and fat than white rice. Germinated brown rice had the highest protein, fiber, and mineral content. White rice had the highest carbohydrate and amylose content. Brown rice had the most macro- and micronutrients overall. Germinated brown rice had the highest thiamine and GABA levels. White rice did not contain GABA.
