Radiant Systems Offer Superior Thermal Comfort and Energy Efficiency in Buildings
Buildings consume a lot of energy for heating and cooling, leading to high CO2 emissions. Traditional heating/cooling systems can cause discomfort due to drafts and uneven temperatures. Radiant systems, which directly heat or cool spaces through tubes in the floor or ceiling, are more efficient and may provide better comfort. Studies show that radiant systems can be more comfortable for occupants compared to traditional systems. New methods are needed to evaluate comfort in radiant systems.
