Groundwater overexploitation restoration in Hebei Province, China, was evaluated from 2014 to 2019. The study looked at the impact on groundwater, economy, and environment. The restoration efforts improved from fair to good, with most cities showing good results. Strict extraction control and reduced consumption were key factors, along with water source replacement. This evaluation system can help better understand and manage groundwater restoration efforts.
