A 3-year field experiment showed that these organic substances increased soil quality and enzyme activities, leading to a 20-40% increase in sunflower yield. The combination of humic acid fertilizer and manure was particularly effective for crop growth. This improved soil health and crop productivity also enhanced ecosystem multi-functionality by 131%. Overall, using a mix of organic ameliorants can help maintain soil health, boost crop production, and support ecosystem functions in saline soils.
