Improved teamwork in operating rooms enhances patient safety culture and outcomes.
The study explored how teamwork in the operating room affects patient safety culture in a Jordanian hospital. Nurses were interviewed, and two main types of teamwork were identified: internal teamwork within the operating room, and external teamwork between the operating room and other units. Nurses highlighted the importance of teamwork in creating a safe environment for surgeries and improving patient outcomes. This research suggests that improving teamwork in the operating room can help reduce errors and enhance patient safety.
