Hydrogen is a promising and eco-friendly energy source with little greenhouse gas emissions. Its high energy content and multiple uses in industries and transportation make it appealing. However, making hydrogen can be costly and may contribute to greenhouse gases if traditional methods are used. To make hydrogen production more sustainable, researchers are exploring renewable energy sources like solar and wind power. They are also looking into improving supply chain logistics for its production and distribution. Challenges like storage and safety still need to be addressed for wider adoption. This review covers recent advancements in hydrogen technology, focusing on ways to optimize production, distribution, and storage to promote its use as a sustainable energy carrier.
