Industrial logging concessions in the Democratic Republic of Congo do not significantly impact deforestation and forest degradation, even with Forest Management Plans in place. This study used satellite data to compare areas with logging concessions to control areas and found no significant difference in forest loss. Further research is needed to evaluate the effectiveness of these plans once fully implemented and to improve outcomes for forest degradation.
