Vertical Wetlands Outperform Horizontal in Cleaning Biogas Wastewater Pollution
The researchers compared two artificial wetland systems to treat biogas effluent. They found that the vertical flow constructed wetlands were more effective in removing pollutants like COD, BOD5, TSS, N-NH3, and P-PO43-. The results suggest that vertical flow constructed wetlands have the potential to improve the quality of biogas wastewater.
