Feeding puppies with fish oil rich in a special brain-boosting fat called DHA can improve their thinking skills, according to a study. In this research, some pups got DHA fish oil while others didn't. Puppies given DHA oil scored better on memory tests compared to those who didn't. Blood tests also showed that these DHA-fed puppies had higher levels of important fats like EPA and DHA in their blood at various time points. Interestingly, the antioxidant levels in their blood stayed the same. So, giving puppies DHA fish oil might make them smarter without increasing harmful fat levels in the body.
