Positive attitudes toward statistics reduce anxiety among Saudi graduate students
Graduate students in Saudi Arabia often feel anxious about taking statistics courses, which can make them delay these courses and struggle to complete their degrees. A study was conducted to understand what factors can help decrease this anxiety and improve students' attitudes and confidence in statistics. The researchers surveyed 356 graduate students and found that positive experiences with statistics in the past and having a good attitude towards statistics can help reduce anxiety. They also discovered that attitudes towards statistics play a significant role in reducing anxiety. Overall, having a positive outlook and previous experience with statistics can help students feel less anxious about statistics courses.
