Revolutionizing Rice Growth: P-dipping Boosts NERICA 4 in Different Soils
Phosphorus deficiency limits rice growth in Africa due to poor soil quality. This study looked at how different soil types and phosphorus treatments affect the growth of NERICA 4 rice. They found that clay loam soil and P-dipping treatment led to the best growth and photosynthesis rates. Root length was highest in clay soil, but P uptake was highest in clay loam soil. The combination of soil type and P-dipping affected both shoot and root characteristics of the rice plant.
