New red rice varieties promise higher yields and better harvests!
A study was done in Indonesia to test new red rice varieties for their yield and growth characteristics. Different red rice lines showed variations in plant height, panicle length, grain weight, and yield. Some lines had taller plants, longer panicles, and higher grain yield compared to others. The number of tillers and productive tillers positively influenced grain yield. Overall, the study found that certain red rice lines performed better in terms of yield attributing features and grain yield compared to others.
