Exergy analysis reveals dehumidification system boosts pistachio processing efficiency by 60%, slashing energy costs.
This study looked at how well a dehumidification system used in making pistachios works. Researchers used fancy science rules to figure out the system's energy efficiency and effectiveness. They found that the pre‐dryer chamber in the system used the most energy. The efficiency of the electro‐fan, heater, and pre‐dryer chamber were 87.87%, 22.10%, and 56.28%, respectively, at turning energy into useful stuff. The heater had the most energy loss, while the pre‐dryer chamber showed the most potential for improvement. As the temperature goes up, these systems become less efficient. This research shows how we can use fancy energy analysis to make pistachio production more efficient and cost-effective.
