Refugees living near Bugoma Forest in Uganda are causing damage to the forest by burning charcoal, farming, and quarrying. A study of 265 people in the area found that these activities have led to increased vegetation cover and forest degradation. The government needs to make sure refugees don't harm the forest when they settle nearby.
