Unemployment in the Middle East and North Africa is a problem, especially for young people. A study looked at data from Egypt, Jordan, and Tunisia to understand why youth are unemployed. They found that female and Tunisian youth often struggle to find jobs for a long time. Surprisingly, educated youth from wealthier families also face unemployment. The study shows that background doesn't always determine how long someone is unemployed.
