It suggests that fulfilling imperfect duties involves forming specific attitudes. The study concludes that we can surpass our duties by having attitudes that are morally superior to the minimum required. It also shows that imperfect duties give us the right amount of freedom in choosing which goals to pursue and how to pursue them.
