Generative models are used to create various things easily. Evolutionary computation has been a popular method for this, but now it's being combined with other advanced techniques in artificial intelligence. The term "evolutionary generative models" is proposed to cover all these approaches. The models can be categorized into four types based on how they use evolutionary algorithms and machine learning. Many studies have been done on evolutionary generative models, and the future looks promising despite some challenges.
