Optimizing Pigeonpea Growth and Yield with Spacing and Fertilizer Choices
A study on pigeonpea growth and yield was conducted with different row spacings and fertilizer levels. Results showed that closer row spacing of 30 cm led to similar plant height but higher protein content compared to wider spacing. Using 100 kg of DAP per hectare resulted in taller plants and better yield compared to 200 kg. However, 60 cm row spacing was better for overall yield and yield attributes. Overall, closer row spacing and moderate fertilizer application were found to be beneficial for pigeonpea growth and yield.
