Individual symptom networks remain stable despite changes in psychopathology severity.
The study looked at how the structure of symptom networks in individuals changes over time and if this is related to changes in mental health. They used data from 66 people over two 90-day periods, one year apart. Most people had stable symptom networks and saw a decrease in mental health symptoms, but there was no clear link between changes in symptoms and network stability. This suggests that more research is needed to understand how symptom networks and mental health are connected.
