Floods are common natural disasters in many rivers worldwide, including the Krishna River in India. A study analyzed flood patterns in 2019 using rainfall data and found that moderate rainfall in August and September led to extreme flooding. The study showed that analyzing rainfall can help predict downstream floods accurately. By managing flood data effectively, the Krishna basin can better control floods and use floodwater efficiently.
