Repeated interactions with robots in public spaces reduce embarrassment levels.
Communication robots in public spaces can make people feel embarrassed, which can make them less likely to use the robots. A study looked at how people's embarrassment changes when they interact with a robot multiple times. They found that the more times people interacted with the robot, the less embarrassed they felt. Two main factors influenced embarrassment: how people around them reacted to their behavior and their past experiences with the robot. So, the more familiar people became with the robot, the less embarrassed they felt.
