Regional design and spatial planning have a long history, but their relationship and impact on performance are not well understood. This study aimed to explore how regional design and spatial planning influence each other's effectiveness. Through case studies, it was found that the interplay between the two significantly affects the success of regional design projects. The research highlights the importance of considering contextual factors in planning decisions and emphasizes the need for a deeper understanding of the relationship between regional design and spatial planning for better outcomes.
