Subjective and objective status impact health and well-being in China
The study looked at how both how people see their own social status and their actual social status affect their physical health, mental health, and overall well-being. They surveyed 276 adults in China and found that both how people view their social status and their actual social status are linked to better mental health, physical health, and well-being. They also found that how people see their social status and their actual social status can work together to impact well-being. This research helps us understand how social status affects health and well-being, and suggests that we should consider individual social status when trying to improve people's well-being.
