The article discusses how qualitative research is becoming more important in social policy studies, even though quantitative research is still more common. It explores the challenges of teaching qualitative research in comparative social policy, where international organizations mostly use quantitative methods. The chapter emphasizes the benefits of qualitative methods in policy research and the difficulties in finding international comparative data based on qualitative research.
