Internet Addiction Rampant Among Malaysian University Students, Severe Cases on Rise.
The study looked at how many university students in Malaysia are addicted to the Internet. They surveyed 810 students from a public university and found that 81.5% of them use the Internet a lot. Of those, 5.4% were severely addicted, 44.7% had moderate addiction, 45.6% had mild addiction, and 4.3% were not addicted at all. The average level of Internet addiction was 50.400. While severe addiction rates are lower than before, it's still important to address this issue for students' well-being.
