A multipurpose equipment for groundnut crop was designed and tested in India in 2021. It can plant seeds at the right depth and spacing, while also spraying and weeding at the same time. This saves time and labor, and can be used for other narrow row crops too. The machine is simple to build, measuring 1800×600×1550 mm and weighing 150 kg. It works well at speeds of 1.8, 2.5, and 3.2 km/h, with field efficiency ranging from 78-83%. Using this equipment can reduce manual work, labor shortages, and increase farm productivity.
